Photo Bubble Moments is an informal personal project I undertook while in school at the University of Missouri. I spent about three years being a part of The Columbia Missourian's news staff in some capacity or another. There were many early mornings, long nights, laughs, tears, and everything in between, and at some point I started making black and white photos of small moments with my iPhone. The photo staff was primarily housed in its own room, with windows facing outward into the rest of the newsroom, hence the affectionate nickname, Photo Bubble. That room is gone now, after a remodel of the newsroom got rid of it in favor of a more open-concept layout. It makes me even more grateful to have preserved and kept close these flashes of memories with friends who are now scattered across the globe doing journalism.
